Passing through all the trials and tribulations of life, Banchie (Real Name: Antone William Hampton Jr.) remains to stand tall and rise above the average MC…And that’s hard to do in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After losing most of his childhood friends in the streets, he dedicated most of his life to make it on the music scene. His early childhood years were pretty much normal.
It was not until his teenager years when he started getting into trouble. A lot of people assume that he calls himself “Banchie” cause of the bike but as it turns out to be it’s for a different reason. He made a new form of street poetry called “Ghostpoetry”. At the age of 10 years old he started out writing poetry then at age 14 he moved on to battle raps which he won a lot because of his unique flow. He grew up listening to Dmx, Nas, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Styles P (or The Lox), Beanie Sigel, and of course Tupac and Biggie.
He started out in a songwriting duo alongside his best friend Jajuan “Miraculous” Allen but soon went on to have an excelling solo career. He forced all eyes to be on him when he dropped his first mixtape “Rage and discipline Pt.1”. Long after that, he has made quite an impact on the rap scene with his exceptional collection of mixtapes including “Rage & Discipline Pt.2: The Lost Boy”, “Rage & Discipline Pt.3: My Recollection”, & “Jammer Of Da Year”. In May of 2014, he released his highly anticipated project “GhostPlanet” which created quite an undeniable buzz for him over social media.
